Dominoes rules
There are many variations of dominoes. Usually they differ in features of keeping score or building chains of gaming pieces. On GAMEZZ Online, both beginners and professionals can get acquainted with the essence of dominoes.
Number of players and game duration
Classic dominoes can be played by two, three or four participants. It is allowed to adjust the number of opponents when creating a table. The game can run for many rounds and it ends at the moment of determining the first loser.
The aim of the game is to score the least number of points in the end, trying to get rid of all the tiles faster than others.
Number of dominoes in the game
The gaming pieces or tiles come in two forms: doubles — dominoes with the same values on both halves, and regular tile with different numbers of dots on the sides. In total, the set consists of 28 tiles, including 7 doubles with values from 0 to 6.
Gameplay
- Each player is given 7 tiles, and the rest are placed to the stock. If there are 4 players, there is no stock from the very beginning.
- The first tile to be put is 0-0 double. If no one has such a tile, the start is taken from the senior double 6-6 and then in descending order. If none of the participants has a tile with identical halves, the tile with the highest sum of points is set, for example 5-6.
- Next, participants line up a chain to the left and right of the original tile, adding other tiles that match by the side. That is, if the game began with a double 1-1, a 1-5 tile can be added, then 5-3, 3-2, etc.
- If you have tiles that can be placed on both ends of the chain, it is up to you to decide where to place it.
- If a player lacks dominoes with the right value to make a move, he must go to the stock, that is, get new tiles one by one until a suitable one is found.
- If there are no tiles in the stock, the player skips his turn.
- The situation when everyone has tiles without being able to make a move is called a block. In this case, points are recorded on the participants' account (except for the one who formed the block), and the game continues with a new round.
Game end and scoring rules
Each game ends either when one of the opponents is "out" or when the game is blocked. The player gets 0 points if he got rid of all tiles or if he blocked the game. Points equal to the sum of values on the remaining tiles are recorded on the rest of the players. The value of each tile is equal to the number of dots on it.
The game will end when one of the opponents scores a losing number of points: 101 or more. The prizes will be distributed according to points and the player with the minimum number of points wins.
